    1. Christina, its a simple, good old-school kinda butter cake. I love the addition of raisins. It's so good that it has jumped queue with my butter cookies. I just gotta share this cake first ;)

  7. Hi, i tried this recipe today but i've some doubt on the step on double boiling the egg with sugar... Double boiling it this way aint it going to be scramble egg?? Or is it really that way?

    Then when i bake the cake, its like boiling in butter... The cake is still baking now thus i do not know the end result yet... Butit doent look like a successful cake to me...

    Hope you can advise.

      Its over a pot of water in low heat. It will not turn scramble egg until u directly boil it. This method is commonly used in sponge cake.
      I do not understand what u meant by baking the cake like boiling butter.
